The interior design of the RWE Stoen office building is part of a new power station design commission, which included a technical building with an operation center and an adjacent office building containing customer service facilities.

The proposal is fully coherent with the style of the external facade, based on a smart, chromatic rule. To give the interiors a fresh look, specific color attributes are introduced to specific areas. Unique colors are assigned to each floor, giving an individual character to the working areas. The common spaces are spacious and vibrant in colors, with suspended timber ceilings, providing cosy chill-out areas.The ground floor has been designated for public services. Vast open space layout with glazed VIP rooms symbolizes transparency and the customer attitude.

ALEXANDRA NATIONAL HOUSE SITE, PCKO ARCHITECTS

The scheme was a shortlisted project - the result of a competition organised by London Borough of Hackney. Key to the task was that of the redesign of existing buildings, converting it into a mixed tenure development and also to maximize the site’s use to full potential.

The new design was a high- quality scheme corresponding with the Finsbury Park (located opposite) and the character of the area. Following the existing buildings street line, three villa blocks were situated in front of the site. Reduced in size blocks were located at the rear of the site allowing adequate correlation with the neighboring buildings. The designed building scheme provided an intimate internal patio with green areas carefully designed by landscape specialists.

EASTCOTE LANE PCKO Architects

Eastcote Lane was a context specific project designed for the London Borough of Ealing. The design reflected the local housing typology and use of materials found in the neighboring estates. The proposal is environmentally friendly and uses alternative energy source in accordance with the latest statutory requirements.The creation of a sustainable residential development proposal which was designed in accordance with the Design and Quality and Lifetime Homes Standards was key to helping the local authorities win the HCA bid for affordable homes founding.

Nicely fit in a green strip off Eastcote Lane, the residence has been welcoming in inhabitants from 2011.

210 PENTONVILLE ROAD Darling Associates Architecture

Located in the King’s Cross regeneration area, 210 Pentonville road forms part of the frontage to one of the main vistas from St Pancras Station. It is a renovation project of the former Webb House. The eight story office building was re-cladded and refitted. Two additional floors were inserted in a sensitive manner to create spectacular open-space work area.

At the rear of the building, 9 new residential units were proposed. This helped utilize the site potential to its maximum. The units were designed to meet Lifetime Homes standard and it included Affordable flats and flats for wheelchair users.

The project represented the highest level of detailing and selection of surface materials, adding value to the representative image of the area.

The building has been awarded a BREEAM “excellent” rating, incorporating photovoltaic, solar panels, and a high performance glass and solar control louvers .

EATON PLACE Darling Associates Architecture

This was a refurbishment project of a 19th century tenement block which was commissioned by a private client. Located in one of the most prestigious areas in London called Belgravia, the building was to be converted into a luxurious summer residence. The heritage listed parts of the tenement block such as the external facade were retained and re-integrated into the new design.

The proposal to provide a high-end quality living space, tailored to the client’s specific wishes. It involved the comprehensive rebuilding of the internal structure, the addition of another floor, new lift and the installation of smart systems home technology.

The new design for the interiors combined traditional Victorian Style with Middle East inspired fittings which undoubtedly made the living space unique.
